Before opening as the Inn at Ellis Square in 2005, what is now Hotel Indigo was two separate buildings-one dating back to 1851, called Guckenheimer Building, and the second a Days Inn and Suites, which underwent a $6-million renovation to combine the two buildings. Today you may find a modern hotel, but this building off City Market wasn’t always an accommodation. These spacious suites feature a king bedroom, a living room with a sofa bed, a small kitchen with a refrigerator and dining table, as well as the loft upstairs with a queen bed. Fit for royalty.
